EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Event photography has been something that I have really found myself enjoying in recent years. Being able to showcase people and their feelings in the best possible light lends itself to a documentary style foundation in which the photographer has the freedom to adapt and direct.
Being able to transform my compositions around the natural lighting and fast-paced nature of an event is a fantastic challenge and one that I am always trying to explore more. I especially enjoy more large scale functions like weddings as it is a very intimate time in a family and I love to be able to display these emotions and thoughts through my photography.
Many people also forget the element of landscape photography styles that also come in to play as the venue is tremendously influential over the atmosphere and I find it imperative to incorporate it into many of my compositions. As well as take some time to show it off on it’s own as many overlook how big a part it can play.
